"Kildonan feels like a warm, cozy place. The students are proud of their school and accomplishments. The faculty are dedicated."
This was the sentiment of one of nine Educational Consultants that visited The Kildonan School this week. Each year nine LD schools host a fall tour for Educational Consultants. This year, nine consultants from across the U.S. came to Kildonan, and were treated to a student led tour of the campus and a student panel where they asked questions of our students. Then the consultants, students, and some faculty were treated to a "fall themed" luncheon prepared by Kildonan's Chef Manager Karen Jacobs, at our Head of School Kevin Pendergast's house. Dining with faculty and students, the consultants were able to get a first hand feel for the warm atmosphere and innovative programs that make Kildonan a unique educational experience.
Here are some other comments from a consultant: "Thank you for the lovely morning at Kildonan. The tour guides and lunch mates were informative and polite. Your music teachers are awesome. I enjoyed chatting with high school students in the art room about their projects. I think having the IB program is exciting for these students. If I ever went back to teaching, I would love to teach at Kildonan."
We were happy to host these Educational Consultants and share with them all that we do here at Kildonan.
