English Isn't Crazy
Because of its history, English is a complex language. When we are teaching English, we are teaching at least three languages, each with its own structure and phonology. Knowledge of the history of the language enables teachers to create interesting lessons in spelling and vocabulary.
Expository Writing for the Elementary, Middle, and/or High School
Increasingly state standards mandate that students achieve some degree of competency not merely in narrative writing but also in various kinds of expository writing. The step-by-step process described in this presentation enables all students to achieve success in this important skill.
