Living on Campus
Boarding students in grades 6-12, PG, reside on the upper portion of our campus in King House or Goldman Hall. Students eat their meals in the dining hall situated near the residence halls and can enjoy social time together in the lounge in Goldman Hall. One of the best parts of our campus in the winter months is that the hill can be transformed into a run for snowboarding. Students have an amazing view of the valley from their dorm rooms as well.
Female students make the King House their home. Named in honor of Kildonan's founder, Diana Hanbury King, King house is a suite-style residence with lounge areas for relaxing, socializing, playing music, and studying.
Male students reside in Goldman Hall, named in honor of former student Stephen D. Goldman. It is a 3-story corridor-style residence with a recreational student lounge on the first floor. The lounge includes table games, a practice space for musicians, and areas for students to study in the evening.
Boarding students wake up between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. to get ready for the day before they make their way to breakfast, which starts at 7:30 a.m. The academic day runs from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and then students participate in an afternoon sports period until 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Following the afternoon sports period, students return to their residences for free time, dinner, and evening study hall. Lights out is determined by student age.
Outside of classes and athletics, there are a wide variety of offerings on campus that include student council, community service opportunities, socializing with friends, weekend outings, and more. Life at Kildonan is both active and rewarding.
